You must be 18 years of age or older to ride with Jane. We are launching our services in early fall, but are gathering interest requests now. Click on the passenger form and register your interest in See Jane Go. After registering your interest, you will be invited to be one of the first in your area to access the app.

Once the app launches, you will receive a link to download the app and complete your profile. Registering as a rider is easy as pie! Enter a few key details and a credit card number, and you are ready to hail your first Jane ride.

Don’t stop there…the more interest we receive in a given area, the sooner we can launch in your home town. Send this link to all of your friends to help bring Jane to your town.

We are launching initially in Orange County, California, our home turf. But since we whispered our intentions to launch we have been receiving interest from around the world. Unfortunately, launching everywhere all at once will not allow us to provide the outstanding Jane experience, but just know that we are working our fingers to the bone to go to as many markets as soon as possible, without sacrificing our customer experiences.

To guide our next market opening, we are asking our fans to tell us where they want us the most. You can help bring Jane to your town by sharing with your friends and registering their interest. When we have a critical mass of interested passengers and drivers in a given area we will show up with bells on! Please share with your friends.

No, certainly not like the old fashioned taxi cab. With the Jane app, when you enter the name or the address of your destination, your driver will have all she needs to get you there. The See Jane Go app removes the old taxi problem of explaining where you are going and hoping they know how to get there... now there’s an app for that. 😉

All Jane Drivers will have a Jane decal on the front passenger window and the rear driver window. Once you have been paired with a driver you will see a picture of your driver and her car.

You will be charged a base fare and the rest of your fare is a calculation of time and distance driven. During our busiest times, we have Demand Pricing that helps get drivers on the road and provides you with the quick pick-me-up you are expecting.

Demand Pricing happens when we are at our busiest and many women need Jane rides simultaneously. When demand is high we encourage our drivers to hit the road and make some friends! Demand Pricing lets you know when we expect more passengers and when we are working to get more drivers on the road. There is a simple law of supply and demand, and at Jane we do not ignore the laws. We embrace them and find ways for everyone to be taken care of...riders get picked up quickly and drivers get rewarded for meeting the demand. Win-Win!

It’s completely up to you. You’ll have an option to tip through your Jane app. You can select a percentage of the fare as your tip which will be automatically calculated by the app. (We promise there will be no math.)

Hail, yes! Jane is a women-driving-women service. Only women drive for Jane, and only women can hail a ride with Jane. Jane loves kids, so feel free to bring the little munchkins along for the ride.

Dude Alert. If you have hailed a ride and have a man in your party, he is welcome to come along for the ride, as long as you vouch for him and are responsible that he maintains the Jane Code of Conduct (details coming soon).

Playing Favorites. Jane has created a platform that is uniquely feminine and empowers each rider and driver with choice. You are able to not only rate your driver but mark your favorites in hopes of getting paired with them again. We also will not pair you with a driver again if you have marked her 3 stars or less.

Control Freaks Welcome. Jane also allows you to choose your environment. Do you feel chatty today, or do you just need some quiet time to think, or maybe you want some music…the choice is yours and your driver will ask you before your ride.

Cause & Effect. Each time you ride with Jane you will benefit your charitable cause of your choice without lifting a finger. Choose a cause from our list of our Jane-affiliated non-profit organizations. ‘Cause a girl’s gotta have choices!

It is unlawful for us to refuse service to a man, and Jane doesn’t want to do jail time because horizontal stripes are not flattering. In an effort to stay out of the slammer and meet the needs of mobile men, while still keeping our promise of a women-driving-women service, we will work together with another popular ride hail service to arrange a ride for him immediately.

He will receive Jane pricing and will use the Jane app to receive his ride. Most likely he will be picked up by a man, as the majority of other ride hail services have male drivers. Sending a man to our competition? Oh yes we will. Why? ‘Cause it’s the right thing to do. (mic drop)

Drugs & Alcohol. See Jane Go does not tolerate the use or influence of drugs or alcohol by drivers while using the See Jane Go platform. In the event that a driver is believed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, it is recommended that you ask your driver to be let out of the vehicle immediately and that you contact our support team. Our support team will immediately turn off driving privileges for the accused driver. The support team will then investigate the matter thoroughly. If it is deemed that the driver was under the influence they will be removed permanently as a See Jane Go driver. You should also contact the commission’s Consumer Intake Unit for passenger carrier complaints. Both the See Jane Go Hotline and Consumer Intake Unit can be reached via our website or your See Jane Go App and are listed below:

Illegal Shenanigans. (aka "Oh, No You Didn't!" Policy). Jane’s pretty face and charming disposition could mislead some people to thinking she’s a pushover - au contraire! Jane has zero tolerance for illegal shenanigans. We want our drivers and passengers to have amazing, memorable experiences in our cars and if someone compromises that, Jane's going to be all up in their grills like a mama bear protecting her cubs. She won’t hesitate to contact the men in blue if anything illegal is going down including mischief, Tomfoolery, slights of hand, diabolical deviosity or garden variety bamboozlement within her system. Illegal acts will be reported to the authorities, leaving the offenders at risk for anything from questioning, arrest or conviction by the PoPorazzi, to doing time in the slammer. And, while orange may be the new black, it’s a hard color for most of us to pull off, so both first-time and career offenders should think twice before breaking the law on Jane’s watch. Just sayin’.

You:
You will need to be 21 years of age or older, show a good driving track record with no criminal history of DUIs. You’ll also need to pass a security screening. Each driver is also required to show proof of insurance.

Your Car:
You will need a four-passenger vehicle that is registered in your name, less than 11 years old, and in good condition. Each car will undergo a safety check before being able to hit the road with Jane. If your car does not cut the mustard, we have some programs to help you get in the driver’s seat of a new car and drive with Jane. Details coming soon.

Drivers are paid daily by a calculation of time and miles driven. When we have Demand Pricing, the price increases and so does your payment.

As a See Jane Go driver, you will be paid 80 percent of the fare plus tips from grateful Jane passengers. We will take a percentage of the rider fare to pay for our service, and you will keep the rest. At times there will be fees that we have to collect in addition to the normal fare (airport fees, etc.) These are pass through costs that we need to pay directly to municipalities, airports or other organizations. These pass through costs do not affect your time and mileage reimbursement.

You will be receiving your trade dress from a fulfillment center. Until then, you must use a temporary trade dress which you can download on our driver page or by clicking here.

You receive 80 percent of the fee paid by the passenger. You are reimbursed for toll roads but you must add the toll road fee in at the end of the ride. Also please ask your passenger if they are willing to incur toll road charges and let them know the charge will be added to their fare.

We encourage all drivers to notify their personal insurance companies prior to becoming a Jane Driver. SJG provides drivers with supplemental coverage in the event of an accident. You need your own personal insurance and coverage from your agent to include Periods 2 and 3 (a ride request has been accepted and/or the passenger is being transported to her destination). Up to $1M per occurrence and contingent collision and comprehensive up to $50K per accident.

Remain calm. Pull over in a safe place if possible. Ask if everyone in your car is okay or needs medical attention. Call 911 immediately. Then call the SJG Critical Response Line at 800-991-7092.

There are several best practices when it comes to giving safe rides.

• Pick up and drop off passengers in a safe and legal zone. Be sure avoid bus stops where you could receive a citation.
• Make sure you and all your passengers are in the vehicle and buckled up before starting the ride.
• If you feel unsafe for any reason, we recommend you cancel your ride or drive to an area where you feel more comfortable.
• Always make sure to follow all traffic regulations and keep an eye out for bicyclists, pedestrians and animals.

If you ever feel unsafe due to a passenger being abusive, belligerent or inappropriate, pull over to a safe place and ask them to leave the vehicle. End the ride on your app. Then call the SJG Critical Response Line at 800-991-7092.
