SAN DIEGO – With news of sexual assaults by ride sharing drivers grabbing headlines, many women are thinking twice about using traditional apps out of fear for their safety. But one Southern California family is hoping to change that, offering a platform designed exclusively for women.
It’s called See Jane Go, the first of its kind ride-hailing service in California putting women in the driver’s seat. The rideshare app caters to and is operated by women, creating peace of mind for passengers and potential job opportunities for women.
It launched in Orange County in mid-September and is heading to San Diego soon.
